Mimi's Cafe

When my son told me that my mom was taking my son to this restaurant, I said, "why?" Every time I have come here, the food is not only scant, but expensive. Look at those fries. I call them Ethiopian fries.The waitresses or waiter are always Caucasian. With that being said...the service is slow and refills are hard to come by. However a minority busboy came by to refill our drinks. In addition, the patrons who are of the same culture, I always hear their gripes of their lives. It's the same old story at Mimi's.My mom who is 88 years, does not want to patrons this place. Au revoir Mimi.

Wow, amazing malted pancakes. I've never had any pancake so good. French coffee is so good. I need thg o come back to try more menu items.

Excellent Restaurant, we’ve been coming here for years. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding. As an old country feel to it, very comforting. This is a good place to come for anniversaries, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, retirement parties, etc. Mimi’s is always good

I only have had good experiences here with family or friends, meals are reasonably priced, ingredients look fresh. Only been to breakfast or dinner and the most I've had to wait is about 15 min. They have good food and different areas with different vibes, homey, bar, French chic eclectic, patio. The service has always been good. I noticed a change in menu last time I went, for the better. One suggestion: you could offer more skinny drinks.

Tasty French Cafe vibe from this franchise restaurant. In addition to appealing food, our waitress was delightful. Friendly and engaging without interrupting our conversation, she was a great addition to our visit.

Terrible service. Wait times are horrible. Food was good though. Only reason they got two stars. Don't think I will be coming back to this place. Just didn't enjoy my time there. Oh and don't sit in the booths. The seats are so worn, you sink when you sit down. Totally need to redo the upholstery.

When you use their "buy one, get one free" emailed coupon, this is wonderful value in a place to make great memories.

I went to Mimi's to redeem my birthday reward. I was pleased that the server let me take it to go. If you're not familiar with the birthday reward, it is their Mixed Berry Muffin Sundae and it is delicious. The muffin is filled with a variety of berries, served warm with fresh sliced strawberries, ice cream and whipped cream. Note: it smells as good as it looks!

I love this place we go a lot because of the buy one get one coupon. This visit was sub par. I guess our fault for going on a weekend.

We went here around lunch time on a Saturday. Our server was incredibly nice and I really appreciated her attention to us. I ordered a lunch special with a baguette sandwich. This was soo hard to eat. I don't know how people do it. The baguette just tears up the top of your mouth and your trying to bite into it. Husband ordered a patty melt with mushrooms. Average flavor.

First, it was not busy and we waited about 40 minutes for our food. When we get our food, my husbands steak was burnt on the outside and it was cold on the onside. My pancake was so cold, the butter did even melt a little!! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. There services is usually good. That's wht i gave them two stars.

Boy has this place went down. The food is horrible, the cook is even worse. The waitress are never around when you need them. and can you belive it no one even come here anymore. The place is always so empty compared to how it used to be. I won't eat here ever again

The Thanksgiving takeout dinner plates were Beyond Below par this year. No roll and they forgot sweet potatoes in 2 of my meals, they didn't go through your order like years prior and the quality and quantity of food has Really gone down.Also, they forgot to charge me so I went back in and let the lady know and she just ordered another lady to ring me up- not even a sorry or thanks for coming back. I'll be ordering elsewhere next Thanksgiving.

I celebrated my birthday this evening in this gorgeous place. I am glad to say that it was a astonishing evening and the place was certainly the reason for this strong celebration. The stuff participated in a sweet way, the meals were great and my buddies were very happy. We shall definitely visit again for more events. Thank you very much.

Food is really good, breakfast is great, their bread is delicious. Steak was delicious little bit buttery for me but I don't usually eat very buttery food so my stomach isn't used to it

They always have what I'm looking for and great ideas about other products. The staff is great giving a helping hand when needed, offering recommendations, and polite.

Lovely place, lovely food, and great service. A bit of a wait for the food but the wait was worth it once we ate the food and realized how much care was placed into it.

Every time my husband and I have eaten here the food has been delicious. We have had a variety of items. Tonight, we chose the beer battered cod. It was moist and flavorful with a nice crisper outer layer. The coleslaw was fresh and had a nice balance of seasonings. We always have their unsweetened iced tea, which has a light fruity flavor that seems to compliment just about everything. Maddy was our server tonight. She is pleasant professional, and hard working. We never ran out of iced tea or had to wait long for our bread, our dinner, or our tab. Thank you, Maddy and all of Mimi's staff for another wonderful experience!

Mimosa for lunch , grilled chicken , the baguette bread freshly baked. Service is exceptional.

If you are 60 and above you may love this place. Really bland and basic breakfast

Not very organized. Ordered a bowl of soup and sandwich with fries. Were brought at the same time, by the time we ate the soup that sandwiches and fries were cold. Very disappointed.

One of the few places in town to pick up fresh yeast from the baker. In my opinion consistently the best pastry in this area. Expect to pay upwards of $35 for a cake with a couple pounds of fresh fruit. Cookies muffins fresh breads exotic small pastries and on the side a small salad and sandwich bar with fresh coffees. If you've never been there this is the one we compared to around here.

Worst service, not busy waited 20 min to be seated. Another 15 minutes to take our orders.I had to ask for our drink that we order.Still waiting for food. Only 15 people in the restaurant. And waiting. Waiting waiting for our food and drink. 25 minutes and counting. Not sure if its because I'm Mexican. But all the Caucasian people have been served around me who came after me. I'm disappointed how they are handling my order. I even told my server I'm on my lunch if she can put a rush on my order. So its 40 minutes later and finally my food comes out. Now I asked for a manager..Tiffany she heard me out and apologized and covered our bill. No one should be treated this way. I think our server needs to get fired or re train. Too bad it was my first time here and I was looking forward to eat here.

We hadn't been in to Mimi's in a while, but noted some changes right away. One, there is a new menu with some old and new meals. There are specials as before as well. Two, there was a shortage in staff and the wait for just simple beverage refills was a bit longer than anticipated. The poor girl serving us was running around a bit ragged. Also, don't expect the usual bread treats while you wait for your meal. That was a minor disappointment. There were other minor changes with our meal that unfortunately left us a bit lacking. We hope this isn't the start of cutting amenities to save a few dollars, but we'll keep in touch on the next time around.

Tried this spot already with my friend and I am obsessed ever since. I liked the fantastic character and yummy food and drinks. I recommend this place.

Very disappointing food. Smoked salmon eggs benedict. It was like they used boiled eggs instead of poached eggs. It was very busy when we were there. It took us approximately 1/2 hour to be seated and at least that long to get our food. I don't like to send food back for obvious reasons, and the waitress was very nice and let the manager know. He offered to send us home with muffins but we asked that the dish be taken off the bill.

Love their Quiche with a cup of French Onion soup!

Visited Sat afternoon. I had a brother come into town and asked me to take him back here. The bill was average for the menu. Atmosphere is like a restaurant in Fort Worth I loved.

The food is good at different times and the service is the same. Our last visit we had a horrible waitress. Overall, we enjoy eating here on the weekends.

Very friendly service who puts the guest in the center of attention. Amazing food and the French onion soup is just like in France. If you’re looking for a little piece of Europe that’s definitely the place to go to!

My sister and our friend met here for breakfast yesterday and we so incredibly pleased we did. Krysta was by far one of the friendliest, helpful and kind servers we have ever had. She made our experience wonderful. I took her recommendation of the brie and mushroom omelette and am so happy I did. Also the Tequila Sunrise Mimosa was new to me and worth the try also. Will definitely be going back and hopefully are seated in her section again.

I always have in mind not to return to a place that I had visited. But here definitely I'll visit again. Simply wonderfull. Everything was perfect.

The Fresno Mimi's Cafe is Great, we ALWAYS get Wonderful Service. The General Manager, Brian Gooch is FANTASTIC!! Brian is always proactive visiting guests & helping out with refills and many other items. If something is not to your satisfaction, Brian does his Best to make sure that you are satisfied. Brian and his Wonderful staff is the Main reason why we always keep coming back, over and over. Plus the food is always fresh and great tasting. The entire Team at Mimi’s Cafe Fresno, from the Enthusiastic Greeters to the Highly Energetic & Positive Bus people who clean down the tables.Our Server, Tasha was INCREDIBLE & ENTHUSIASM & quick refills & WONDERFULLY POSITIVE ATTITUDE made our meal extremely enjoyable.If you have not tried Mimi’s Cafe In Fresno, you have been missing out.

Good service, good food, moderately priced. Clean glasses and silverware! I mean, REALLY clean! Impressive.

My husband and I went to breakfast and we were very disappointed. My husbands coffee tasted burnt. My husbands sandwich came with tomatoes that were not ripe at all. His sandwich was supposed to have bacon on it but there was no bacon. I ordered two egg, potatoes, ham and toast. I was very disappointed. The ham was Farmer Johns which I can buy at the store. The potatoes tasted like cheap French fries with a lot of garlic powder on them. I would not recommend this place for breakfast. I will not be going to this restaurant again.

We used to come her a lot. They haven’t lost their touch. Good service and decent food. I must say the muffin is what I really come here for. Inside has touches of French decoratives.

Spinish artichoke dip was fabulous for an appetizer. They struggle with consistency. My meatloaf was raw, potatoes tasted like instant potatoes, and everything lacked seasoning. The waitress was kind and accommodating. They struggle with the back out of the house/kitchen. Bottom line, skip this dying restaurant and opt for something else.

Mimi's Cafe is a wonderful place to eat at. The decor was beautiful. The server was excellent. The portions are perfect for light eaters. I would definitely recommend it to others.
